Statement of Faith

VCA affirms that God has revealed truth through His Word, which serves as the foundation for Christian faith, morality, and education. The Bible is divinely inspired, enduring, and authoritative in all matters of life and conduct. It teaches us how to walk in righteousness while also revealing God's mercy for those who seek Him.

VCA believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, begotten of the Father. For in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was made flesh. Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers salvation to all who place their faith in Him. This is done through the new birth — the born-again experience He taught His holy Apostles. His teaching serves as the cornerstone of the Academy's values, calling us to walk in both truth and love.

Though we strive for holiness, we acknowledge that all have sinned, and grace is freely given to those who repent and follow Him. In Him we find both the truth that sets us free and the mercy that restores us. For Christ is the truth and the way to eternal life.

VCA upholds that all human life is sacred from conception to natural death, bearing the image of God and deserving of dignity and protection. Because of this, we strive to treat all people with love, compassion, and respect, knowing that Christ came not to condemn, but to offer salvation to a fallen world.

VCA affirms that God created humanity as male and female, and that biological sex is an immutable characteristic given by God. Any attempt to alter or redefine one's God-given sex is inconsistent with biblical teaching and the created order.

VCA upholds that marriage is the exclusive, lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, ordained by God as the foundation of the family and the only appropriate context for sexual relations. Sexual activity outside of this covenant — including fornication, adultery, same-sex relationships, and any practice that contradicts God's design — is sin.

While the Academy acknowledges that temptation and struggle are part of the human condition, we believe that God calls us to holiness, self-discipline, and obedience. We are committed to walking alongside those who seek to align their lives with God's truth, offering support, encouragement, and the hope of transformation in Christ.

VCA believes that parents are the primary educators of their children, and that education should reinforce, rather than replace, the values of the family. Schools exist to support parents in forming children in truth, wisdom, and virtue. The Academy seeks to cultivate not only intellectual growth but also spiritual and moral development in students, preparing them to be faithful followers of Christ and responsible citizens.

VCA upholds the right of Christians to live, work, and educate in accordance with their faith, free from coercion or government interference. The Academy's policies and governance are guided by biblical principles rather than secular ideologies. Religious liberty is not only a constitutional right but also a Biblical mandate to faithfully live out God's calling without compromise.

VCA believes that all people are created in the image of God and are of equal worth and dignity. The Academy rejects ideologies that promote division, resentment, or partiality based on race, social class, or group identity. Instead, VCA affirms that true justice is found in God's righteousness, and that unity in Christ transcends earthly distinctions.

We are called to love our neighbors, seek reconciliation, and extend grace, rejecting any framework that fosters bitterness, victimhood, or judgment of others based on immutable human characteristics.
